Giverny

As I began work on this piece I wasn’t quite sure where I wanted to take it so I followed my heart with the patterns and colors. When I finished the painting, I stood back from the easel and it reminded me, in a very abstract way, of Monet’s water lilies at Giverny; the shimmering blues and greens of his beloved lily ponds.

The painting continues around the 1.5″ sides of this gallery-wrapped canvas making it ready to hang.
