When I painted this piece it was Mid-January and Northern California was in the midst of drought-ending rainstorms like we hadn’t seen in years. While I worked, I watched the downpour and suddenly a spot of sunlight shone through the clouds and cast an amazing glow while everything else was still dark and gray.  The painting wraps around the 1.5″ sides of this canvas making it ready to hang.
