Monterey

36″ x 36″ Acrylic on Canvas

With this painting, my intention was to capture the power and beauty of Pacific Ocean waves crashing onto the beaches of California’s Monterey Peninsula. In this piece, I’ve applied layer upon layer of cyan, phthalo blue and ultramarine to impart a sense of motion and added a subtle mist of white to emulate sea spray. The painting wraps around the 1.5” sides of this canvas making it ready to hang.
