Winterland

18″ x 18″, acrylic and gold leaf on cradled birch box.

This is the final piece in my series of small-scale tree paintings that represent the four seasons.  This one is evocative of winter with it’s crisp blue and white hues and a single little bird flitting around under the trees.  Textural elements and the delicate application of gold leaf add to the radiance of the work.

The painting continues around the 1.5″ sides of this cradled birch box making it ready to hang.

This piece has been signed on the side so as not to detract from the artwork, and as with all my paintings, it includes a signed certificate of authenticity.
